ART HISTORY - ART AS COMMUNICATION

PROJECT REFLECTION
P: Did your perspective on whether or not you can draw change?
My perspective on whether or not I can draw because I already knew I could.
A: Did you advocate for help when you got stuck?
Yes, I did advocate for myself when I got stuck.
P: Did you persevere when the project got tricky or did you give up?
Yes I persevere when the project got tricky. No I did not give up.
E: Is your project hanging in the hall as evidence of new skills gained?
No, it is not in the hall yet.
R: Does your project model refinement or is there more you would do to make it better?
I just need to finish painting it.
2)  How did you grow as an artist/thinker/project based learner during this project?
I used my drawing skills and put it on a computer.
3) Did you participate during lecture by taking notes and complete the majority of this project by sketching, scanning, modifying doc in PS (photoshop), and adding a final trace on AI (illustrator)?
    Yes
  1. Do you feel you met or approached the project rationale? Use evidence explaining why or why not.
Yes because I feel my sketch was decent, and I tried hard on AI.
  1. What is considered Art?
A way to express how you feel and being creative.
  1. How does context affect works of Art?
The context of an art piece in which is created and the complicity of an artist.
  1. Why would context matter when interpreting art?
Yes, context does matter when interpreting art, because context has to do with how complicated the artist is and how he/she expresses themselves through their artwork.

Letter Portrait

To do this project, I needed to first find letters from bands I enjoyed and then cut them out and pasted them together. Finally, to wrap it all up, I used a Filter to make all definitions of the images I used uniform.
