IAM Music story
"An Epiphone SG guitar in walnut with a black trim and a Fender 15 watt amp was stolen from IAMmusic’s room over the summer by an unknown subject. High list officials off the books but many suggest foul play at hand.
The incident occurred over the summer in the Jessie Hutt building, the exact time is unknown however IAMmusic’s teacher Jessie Ogle says both items were present after the last on campus school day but by August 22nd of 2019 the guitar was missing from the wall, and the 15 watt amp was swapped with a 10 watt amp in the exact same place.
The IAMmusic room was not locked over the summer, and according to Animas High School’s own Roxxy McKight, “On several occasions I had looked down the hall and saw the door open, and on several occasions I had to close it.” Roxxy was one of the only people in the Jessie Hutt building multiple times to water her flowers.
AHS Head of School Sean Woytek spoke to us, expressing his doubt of a legitimate robbery however being fully aware there’s not much of any other option. “Of course when Jessie found out it was missing...” he said, “...I immediately sent an email to all staff on the issue.” “Has any teacher gotten back to you on follow up evidence?” My accomplice Xavier Tyler questioned him, “No not yet, but word is still out.”
Multiple sources like Sean Woytek and Libby Cowles, Animas High School’s Assistant Head of School, say the guitar was maybe at the Animas 10 year anniversary in rotary park over the summer, with many contradictory stories from the event saying the guitar wasn’t with them at the show.
The “man-of-the-hour” interview was with IAMmusic’s head Jessie Ogle, who told us some very damning things like, “...the guitar has ‘IAMmusic’ written on the fretboard and the amp was swapped for a 10 watt variant.” “So do you suspect an accident or robbery?” I questioned further, “I’m really not sure, but it doesn’t look good.”
There has been no word of any leads by authorities but the Animas Quill Detective Department will follow up shortly with any updates."

Reflection
The great work I've done in this class is my investigative journalism stories and other things like my great interviews.
As a result of this experiance i have figured out the proper way to form a story, to interview someone, and how the journalism process works.
Next semester I plan on using the same conviction i have in my investigative journalism to other aspects like Op-Eds and other types of colums.
